So I hurt my knee before break, I was out for the last week of school, but i only missed one game and a couple practices so it was ok. Rehabbed it over break and everything, and it was getting better, i could jog very lightly and shoot around, walk normally all good. Then, on Wednesday, it popped again. So now, the other side of the knee hurts. Yesterday I went to the doctor, went to get an MRI, then went back to the doctor. Took pretty much all day. The doc said the MRI didn't show anything conclusive so he set up an appointment with a knee specialist. Fun stuff. But, he also decided to drain my knee to see if that would relieve any pressure. So he lies me down on this bed in the back room, and goes ok, pinch your hand now, so I pinch my hand and then he sticks a needle into my knee. Then he's like look, see what's coming out. I am at this point looking at the wall and trying not to think of what exactly he's doing. Then he goes, OK you're done, so I sit up, and he shows me this bowl and goes look, see what's come out of your knee. I give a rather weak nod and leave the room as fast as possible. Incredibly exciting stuff. But, this whole holiday has kinda been a notch lower than it should've been. It was getting brighter cause things were looking good, then since Wednesday it's gone down again. So I'm out for at least this week, I have an appointment w/ the specialist on Friday. Unfortunately, we have two games a week from now on so that's at least two i'm missing.
I'm just so frustrated. I can't do anything I wish we could just hit pause and then resume when everything's back to normal. I hate being hurt, it just brings everything down.
Anyways, on a brighter note, my brother got into Cambridge!!!!!!!! It is conditional, he needs 5's on all three of his AP's this year, but nevertheless, it is very exciting. So that is lovely, brightened up the holiday quite a bit, Extremely happy for him. :D:D:D

So i've been back for five days now, haven't really done much. We went to Australia for a week which was quite nice. We were in Sydney for three days, went to the Sydney opera house and watched a christmas show which was fun. We ran into old friends of my mum and dad's from Sweden who were also in Australia for vacation. WE hung out with them for one evening and then a day at the zoo. I got to see an echidna!! lol. I've decided that I want a tiger, I think that'd be so cool. They're really quite gorgeous. Didn't do much else in SYdney really. Then we went on a two day train trip across Australia, from Sydney to Adelaide, then switched trains and went to Alice Springs. This was for the benefit of my brother. It was quite a nice trip though, lots of time for relaxing, reading and playing games. We saw kangaroos and emus out the window. I also saw a dingo and a cockatoo. We spent Christmas eve and Christmas day on the train. Boxing day was spent driving the car for four hours up to Uluru (Ayres rock). We saw wild camels, a couple lizards and some birds but not much else. Ayres rock is not much more than what you see in photos. We stayed at a resort near the rock. Went swimming in the mornings, and then one afternoon we went out to the rock, took a short hike and looked around the aboriginal culture center. Another day, me, my mum and Lals went and took a camel ride which was cool. Spent two and a half days there, then flew back. SO eight days total in Australia, the weather was lovely and it was a lovely getaway with much needed relaxation time.
We celebrated Christmas on the 31st, got some new PJ'S, slippers, books, bath stuff and a new watch, just what I'd been wanting so it was quite nice. Didn't do anything that evening for New Years, sat at home w/ Michael, Cassie and Mana watching TV. WE watched random New Years shows including parts of one at Tokyo dome, some solemn ceremony at a random shrine or temple, and then the guy who was trying to stop fireballs as well as climbing and swinging around on a flimsy bamboo stick while trying to light a stick he was holding from a fire on a pole, it was quite amusing. Haven't really done much else, reading, watching TV, cleaning house, Michael and I have been organizing our stamps, been shooting some baskets w/ my dad.
Ward called this evening and we talked for about an hour. It was really nice, talked about random stuff, school, college, life after college, holiday, etc... Hadn't talked to her in a while so it was nice.
I watched Mr. and Mrs. Smith over the holidays, not a quality movie but fun just for entertainment.
Not much else going on, I think I shall go off to bed now, i've been staying up late since we got back and not waking up till really late in the morning lol. Hope everybody had a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and any other holidays people celebrate.
